i'm pretty sure my car was manufactured in japan because the specific instructions (domestic models only) will not work i.e. there is no blank screen when toggling the display.

anyone have a clue on how to do this, or should i just make a quick trip to the dealer?

it's not in your owner's manual?

my indie mechanic does it all the time.

the method followed per the owners manual is composed for american cars only, which mine (being a gs460) isn't. kinda silly.
