Default Hey 3GS people! What brake pads do you use?

I am currently using Duralast Gold brake pads they do an alright job... but I've been getting a creaking sound which some say it should be normal as you let go of the pedal. I Would say it has lasted me a year or 2 and is half done... I drive aggressively 1/4 of the time.

Anyway, What brake pads do you guys use? What have you use and what do you recommend?

I use OEM. Low dust, enough stopping power.

Currently running OEM brake pads. I tried Akebono's, Stoptech, EBC redstuff and Posi Quiet Semi Metallic. Ebc Redstuff were horrible ate through the rotors, Akebono same stopping power as OEM a lot less dust, Stoptech had better stopping power with same amount of dust as Oem and Posi Quiet Semi metallic were no where quiet as their name states but were the BEST stopping power. When I replaced them, I remembered why I hated OEM brake pads don't like the stopping power. Reading from reviews Posi Quiet are Quiet I could of had a defected set. Next set of pads I am going to run are Brembo from tire rack.

why get rid of the duralast if they work great. don't they have a lifetime warranty? just buy new rotors and exchange the duralast ones for free...

I'm just getting the pads just causet it comes with the set... each rotor is about 60 each so the whole set is like 240-260 with shipping and tax....

From what I remember with my Duralast battery, you don't need a receipt it is in the system. Also I hear all you have to do is bring back old pads and exchange for new.

Yes I have, Owned the car for almost 6 years, 8 sets of pads and 4 sets of rotors. Not every pad I got to the minimum specifications before changing. Ebc Redstuff was only on my car for 7k miles ( they kept warping my rotors), and Posi Quiet were on it for about 3k miles ( could not deal with squeaks). On average pads last me 10-12k miles. I do ton of city driving, with average MPG 11.7-13 mpg.
