M2 is far from being loud, definitely subdued like Tanabe.
OP if you want the loudest exhaust get a HKS Hi-Power exhaust.

My '07 GS350 has an Invidia mid-pipe and Top Speed exhaust. Customized to fit AWD. It is louder than my wife likes, both inside and outside the car. I like it, as does my 23-yr-old son who drives it most of the time. It can be annoying I'll admit, but I'm an old gear-head, and there is just something in my DNA that can't hate that awesome sound. Personally I would not want it any louder than this, it is almost over the line to embarrassingly ricer.

FWIW OP, I recommend against this, as it was SUPER DUPER loud, but my Miata sounded so mean at the time because it gurgled pretty nicely (custom turbo setup).

I did a straight pipe from the axleback and beyond, with a resonator inbetween, It was loud enough to be heard, but not loud enough to annoy 4-5 houses down the street. It was side exit and everytime I shifted a flame flew out. It was soo cool and I miss scaring people on the highway lol.

Whatever you do, do NOT get the Manzo exhaust. It's horribly put together, fitment issues everywhere, sounds mediocre at best, and the tips come all bashed up and ugly. Had it on my 460 for a couple hours before I had it removed, then fought for days via Email with Manzo's "customer service" to return it. The price is appealing, but you get what you pay for: junk. Whatever you get, be sure to post a video!
