I called sewell lexus and asked them about how to extended the life of a car with the carbon issue that was done and fixed. They told me doing the normal engine induction service every 30K miles will help with that. Is that something that is worth it and it actually does anything good? I NEVER got it done but not sure if it would help or not. I would like some input. IT cost $260 to do and comes with an oil change.

I'm assuming you are talking about the 06 GS300....if you are...induction service might help but I think for it to truly be effective you would need to do it more often than 30k...

When I bought my 08 GS350 new the service dept was suggesting that you get that service done every 20k...

I would just save my money up and get the walnut shell blasting done....more expensive but it works...induction is a quick service so the hard carbon is still going to be there,,,

Probably run you between 800 and 1000 but the valve will look brand new...clean! Induction doesn't really help once the carbon has gotten hard...and by 30k you are going to have some hard carbon.

It's become a normal practice for a lot of the German counterparts. Start with a trusted local shop that has done that before. Some of the Audis were so bad the were recommending that like every 30k...
