Default AWD woes. RWD conversion?

I'm starting to get annoyed by the awd vibration. I know evos, subarus, and various other makes have converted their awd cars to rwd fairly easily. Is the 3gs a different beast altogether? I'm not too familiar with what's involved, but would like to know if it's fairly easy and if the cost to do this outweighs the solution.

Anybody?

I would assume just remove the front axels and you are done. Never seen anyone convert to rwd here, and honestly it would probably be worth selling your awd and getting rwd. Rwd suspension is also lower, the car is lighter also.

you can't just remove the axles and drive it as rwd. it would cause the differential to go boom lol. our gs if im correct have a 30/70 tq split.

just get a rwd trans, driveshaft, front hub assemblies, and ecu and install. but at this point you might as well go 2jz and deal with wiring. lol

there are some other cars that have wobble after lowering but 3rd party companies have created axle spacers to eliminate that for those cars. for our cars no successful attempt has been made unfortunately. i was able to minimize vibration and wobbles by using urethane control arm mounts and its helped it pretty well. my vibrations and wobble arent noticeable much.

Sell and buy a RWD....problem solved the easy way...

The luxury of not needing AWD is so sweet...

So it looks like the slight vibration and wobble are a plague of the 3GS AWD. I initially thought I had uneven tires or even a bent rim, but from reading here and just driving the car over different surfaces it became clearer it was the way the drivetrain system was designed for this car. Kind of sucks given how much else this car does right, and how the like of cars like subarus, infinitis and acura awd systems don't even let you know it's there.

I've seen someone on this forum post about custom front axles. Is that an option to solve the wobbles/vibration?

My Gs350 has very little noticeable vibration... It only vibrates alot when the AC is on.... I think someone said in a different thread that a engine mounting could be broken and that could be causing the bad vibrations.....

Hope it works out, I'll be trying the spacers on the front axles or putting quarter half metal between the engine mounts

I have been inquiring at a few different places for custom axles with no Luck.. I tried to contact RAXLES and they said they dont have a solution for us at this point.

Might I add that I am maxed out on my ride height in the front on my Suspension and rears have another 2-3 inches which would lay my frame before it would even max out of adjustability.

For the record, I did not experience any weird vibrations prior to me lowering my car, So those of you who are not lowered and are experiencing this have a slight different issue from me.

Thought about going BAGS, but not sure if I want to invest in a bag setup since I have a few other goodies coming from Japan and a Business start up that needs most of my attention.

I plan to 2jZ it eventually when it is more feasible.
