I think it's a good price. I just traded mine in and they have me a bit more than that and I had 106 k mile .
I owned it for 3 years. Trouble free from 66 to 106 k .
Car handles like it's on rails, is plenty fast and looks great still.
Few things to consider. It is a bit stiff over nyc bumps and pot holes. So depends how your city is that might be a problem. This was one of main reasons I went with LS 460.
And seats are not very comfortable, long trips become tiresome .
These are the only two complaints I have.
Good luck. Make sure to run a vin through Lexus web site. See what was done or not. You will have to change the timing belt and water pump at about 90-100k.

I would have paid 13k for that in a heartbeat! I paid 15,800 for my 2006 but it was the only one I could find with the color combo I wanted and it had 116k miles on it. Timing belt was done around 117k and was told it was in great shape. If you like the color combo then I dont think you can go wrong, the 430 is super reliable is what I am told and thats what I wanted. I came from my IS300 and it had over 200k on it and ran like new. I love my GS430 only issue I have had is break squeal this whole winter so I think I will throw some new brakes on it when spring decides to show.

Thanks guys for your input,
One thing i notice is that the seats seem more narrower then the 98 gs4 im currently driving, feels more clastrophobic, maybe its cause im a big guy i dunna know,i also like the fact it does have the 4.3 motor and 6spd auto gear box, but then again i like the steering wheel shifting on the gs4( kinda f1)that adrenaline feeling down shifting from 5th to 3rd via shift buttons on steering wheel to make that last minute exit on the freeway

I miss the steering buttons from my IS300 but I did drive a 2003 GS430 and I had a higher up feel for the driving position which I did not really enjoy. The 2006 GS feels really different from the 2003 even though they are very similar in size but the 2006 just seems so much bigger to me.

I know this thread was started a couple of months ago but still want to chime in. That is a great price on a '06 gs430 with such low mileage (only thing iffy for me personally is that exterior/interior color combo)...but I mean that's just aesthetics.
For example last month (April) I bought my 2006 GS430 with 135,500 miles on it for $12,200.
