Default p/s and speedo not working

So i slid and hit the curb a bit in some snow, nothing major, just the front bumper is scrapped on the bottom. I notice my p/s isn't working, light is on and my speed isn't working now... I thought maybe its just a fuse, but can't locate them, please help guys.

Sounds like you damaged the rack...many newer cars use input from the rack as part of the speed sensor...I would start by inspecting the PS rack....after looking at the fuses...

I looked for the fuses but no clue where its at but I will also look at the rack, that sucks my driver side front bumper hardly went over the curb too

Did you hit the curb with the wheels? If you hit hard enough sometimes it will backfeed voltage into the p/s ecu and fry it

Yes, i guess so the driver touched the curb but didn't go over. it was like hitting a tiny pot hole on the road, it didn't feel major. Maybe reset the ECU first and go from there

Hmmm....learn something new all the time...I never considered that could be a possibility...I wonder why they wouldn't put a fuse in between that circuitry to prevent something that simple from doing $$$ damage...
