My defrost is surprisingly anemic. There are some settings where I appear to be getting full fan thrust but not defog/defrost. I have read some threads where people have fixed their own but I don't have the heated garage or the patience to deal with this myself.

Two questions actually. I expect not any mechanic can fix these without specific experience so I am thinking a dealer. What does Lexus charge?

Second Q is what about a Toyota mechanic? These are far more plentiful but is Avalon technology that close? Thanks for any responses.
