Does the GS430 Push you into your seat?
As the title states, does the 3GS GS430 give you that "shoved into seat" feeling when you accelerate?
I ask because after driving my friends 6.0L V8 Commodore it really presses you into your seat when you accelerate, yet my IS350 accelerates much quicker and outright demolishes his car in speed (especially 0-60mph) but just doesn't press me into the seat as much as his car does..

Maybe they weren't racing? I've raced a second gen GS430, and I definitely walked on him pretty hard. Never raced against a 350 though, but HP is pretty similar to the 430, just a little less torque. All in all, I don't think it's that big of a difference, but in my experience, the 460 is definitely faster.

My 430 has about 70k on it and everyone who drives in it compliments me on how clean it is as well as it's impressive performance.
It doesn't push me like my cousin's WRX does, but it certainly puts unsuspected passengers in their seat and makes them smile. I sell new Infiniti's in Chicago and have the privilege to drive A LOT of different vehicles, I still love my 430 and probably will never sell it outside of my family.

I drive a 460...and the seat of the pants feeling for acceleration is nothing like a muscle car. I've driven the 05 GTO...the American version of the Commodore and it doesn't compare at all.
acceleration is especially smooth on the 460 with the 8 speed tranny...but it maybe different in the 430 with the 6 speed.
speaking of hp and tq numbers....has anyone here ever gotten their 3gs on a dyno?
and ya....I don't see how a 430 would ever keep up with a 460...the 460 overpowers the 430 by quite a bit

I just wish our 430/460s has an optional 6 speed manual trans, that "throwback" feeling factors in transmission as well. Clutch dumping launches vs boring automatic makes a huge difference.
