A winter precaution

For road hazard coverage, you do not need to send the tire back for review. For workmanship and treadwear warranty, the manufacture will likely require a return.
Some manufactures (mainly Continental) offered a 1 year factory road hazard with their tire. At the time (prior to Sept 18) we were offering a 3 year road hazard program which was optional when purchasing a tire.
If you opted out of purchasing the 3 year RH program, you still received the 1 year program offered by the tire manufacture as it was included with the tire. The tire manufacture did require you to send the tire back for review for a reimbursement as part of their RH program.
Today, since most of our tires include a 2-year RH at no charge, the manufacture road hazard essentially becomes null.

Aj thank you for clearing that up, I use tire rack for 2 simple reasons, Road Hazard ( was optional) need a piece of mind with the roads here in NYC, and independent tests that you guys do to give more feedback on the tire in real life driving. Well there are more reasons, but these are 2 main reasons for me.,
