2007 GS 350 Brake problem
Hey fellow Club Lexus members! I'm new here and have been around for a while and reading some forums on the 3GS. I have come here for aid on my GS350 braking system.
It all started out when i started driving my dads 2007 GS350 . The brake pedal feels quiet squishy and when stopping its as if i need to push it almost 2 inches before it hits the floor to stop. Now we've been driving like this for a while and when we got the recent recall on the headers? i'm not sure... the mechanic at the dealership wouldnt drive it because they said the rear calipers were seized. Now i cant tell if its seized or not but when i changed the rear pads they were pretty much done. Though it was a pain in the **** to make them swing out which is definitely a problem!!! I've changed all the pads and the left the car as it is.
Now here's the real problem yesterday i did a brake fluid change... now the weird thing is, is that i removed the brake lines instead of looking for the brake screw bleeder? I've watched DIY and videos on how to change the brake fluids on different cars but couldn't find one for this GS... I also cannot find the Brake fluid screw bleeder... either i'm retarded or I just happen to have a bad set of calipers!
The GS is now sitting in the driveway with Rhino Ramps posted behind the rear wheels. The funny thing is is that Parking gear still works! The GS will be sent to the shop tomorrow and I think my fathers friend mechanic is ganna call me a retard
tl;dr problems with the GS 350 2007
- rear caliper may be seized
- brakes are too squishy-
- car is unable to move due to letting air in the brake fluid system
- cannot locate brake bleeder screw
