Exclamation rattling noise inside cabin, please help

i have 06 gs300 AWD and recently it started to make that noise. at first i thought my shock/struts went bad and i had it inspect and they are good, ball joint and control arms also good. however, i do not know if strut mount is bad or not. when i go over small cracks i can hear rattles inside but when i let my windows down i hear less. i do not know if the window or door has to do something with it. it seems like coming from passenger side. i really do not know what to do. dealer wants $100 for check up. if you guys had same issue, how did you fix it. btw sometimes i do feel even dashboard rattles a bit. can anyone help?

could it just be the leather rubbing as the car flexes on the road.
my dash/seats squeak a little, and door trims etc.
I like it tho, it is leather after all

Could it be a dash rattle in the glovebox lid?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...vebox-lid.html

I've got the same issue currently.

no i haven't, another thing it recently started shake a little when i go over 80 MPH so i balanced my front two tires, but it didn't go, so i guess my alignment is also messed up. manybe that shake makes a lot other thing shakes inside. i am taking it to dealer to re-align it and they want 100 manybe also have them check sway bar as well

Adhesive felt on the plastic tab that holds the door closed seems to be the cheap way (haven't tried this myself) while having the dealer replace the glovebox lid is the not-so-cheap way. Unless you happen to be fortunate enough to still have warranty.

I still have extended warranty left, so I'm going to see whether they'll hook me up at my next service appointment (good luck )

FYI - Just got back from the dealer. They diagnosed my glove box rattle as a loose hinge which would require replacing the entire glove box assembly to fix, at a cost of $1670+tax CDN.

I declined.

How do they deliver these diagnoses to people with straight faces I wonder?

Anything loose can be tightened, or shimmed... felt, fabric, tape, old socks... these are all excellent tools for the modern lexus owner sadly.
