GS to 328i and I'm back
Just want to say I'm coming back to the GS community. I know a lot of people do the BMW vs Lexus. I leased a 328i did it up and BMW just didn't live up to my expectations. The speed and performance is definitely there but the luxury part isn't. Also could be it is just a 3-series that EVERYONE has. The interior is nice a solid but not as comfortable as the Lexus. My BMW was 37,500 no navi or comfort access and a fully loaded one could easy get to the mid 50s. So I found a 07 GS with 36k miles fully loaded every option for 22,000 that is probably going to be a weekend/project car! Glad I'm back

My wife has an E90 330 sport and it's nice, sporty and fun to drive but no way a long distance commuter for comfort compared to my 07 GS350 (with adaptive lights also). Even with me running BCR's set at 18 front and 16 rear it's still more comfortable than the E90. Seats also play a factor.

I'm pretty sure it does. Open up that little drawer where the fuel/odometer/etc buttons are and look for a "AFS OFF" button. If you have that button, you have AFS. I thought it was standard on all GS.
Adaptive headlights are overrated in general though.

sometimes you have all the buttons in the box but don't have the options. i had a GS350 with the parking sensor button but didn't have the parking sensors on my bumper… dealer said they put the buttons in all the cars but they may not have the options… thats dumb...

BMW's are pretty, and fun for short bursts, but that's about it. My ex had a 330ci, and in the 2+ years we dated, I had to pick her up from the dealership AT LEAST 10 times for repairs, twice being shipped in on a flatbed. I love the E39 M5's and the E90/92 M3's a ton, but I'd never own one. The GS might have some interior fitment issues, but at least the car will continue to run for a very long time. Welcome back!

Agreed. I always leave mine off (just something else to go wrong with excessive use). Wish the AFS OFF light turned off though.
