Keep or Sell
I am currently at a crossroads with my 06 GS. I bought the car Lexus Certified with 35k miles on it. It now has 90k on the clock. I have had more issues than I would ever expect from a Lexus/Toyota. The certification went out in January of this year, so I am currently without warranty. This car has spent more nights at the dealer than any other car I've owned.
I have had the usuals fixed-
DASH RATTLE
PISTON RING REPLACEMENT
CAMSHAFT ISSUE
EXHAUST RUST @ HEAT SHIELDS
MOONROOF RATTLE
CD PLAYER REPLACED
DOOR COURTESY SWITCH REPLACED
OUTSIDE MIRROR ACTUATOR ON MIRROS REPLACED
At 90k, I am confused at to whether this car can be trustable or not?

Has it ever actually broken down in the past 55k miles? Most of those issues are very minor. I wouldn't worry too much about the reliability of a vehicle based on a dash rattle or defective cd player. That motor had certain issues that are well known now. If they addressed the problem there shouldn't be much to worry about.

Well, those are also dealer prices. The piston ring job alone was several thousand. The dash rattle was probably also a thousand or more if they actually removed the dash.
I'd say its been a pretty reliable vehicle considering you've driven an 8 year old car for 55k miles without breaking down.
