Need Advice! Looking to buy A GS Questions!
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum and I hope some of you will take a few minutes of your time to help me out.
I have been in love with the Lexus GS since the first one I seen and now I am at a point in my life where I can purchase one.
Im looking for a 08 or newer but not 100% sure which one yet these are some questions I have.
1. Is there any difference at all between a 2008 and 2011 GS 350?
2. Is any year more known for problems between 2008 & 2011?
3. Is there any value in getting a AWD over the RWD?
4. While looking at a few GS 350s ive noticed that where the heated seats control is it also shows blue as in having AC seats.
My question is do they all have this regardless of actually having both heated & AC seats. Like models with only heated seats do they have the same controls as models with both?
5. Is there any difference between the GS-350 and the GS-460 besides the size of the motor and trans? (like standard or available options)
And if there is any other info you think might be helpful to me i would love to hear it i hope to be purchasing a GS in the next few weeks.

AWD are favored more up north obviously because of the weather they are exposed to. Seeing as how you live in SC you might not need the AWD although from what I've seen the AWD's are usually cheaper than the RWD, around here at least.
I could be wrong but I think all of them come with heated and cooled seats in the GS.
Usually the 460's will come fully loaded, assisted cruised control, illuminated door sills etc. The 350 has a nice bunch of recalls on it, this shouldn't deter you just an FYI because Lexus does take care of these issues. The 460 hasn't had any motor related recalls that I know of, IMO an awesome motor coupled with an 8 speed transmission. Depending on how you drive and your driving patterns it might give you better gas mileage too. If you primarily do city driving then no the 350 would give you better mileage. If I had to choose between a 350 and 460 I would do the 460.

Good reply by kuwupt...
A minor difference is in the touch screen images. I like the images on the 2008 better than the "updated" images in the 2011...again minor and depends on what you like.
Also...my 2008 has a (useless) cassette deck...not sure if they finally got rid of that for the 2011?
