Default 60k maintenance

My 2006 gs300 is a hair over 60k miles. I bought it new and kept it very clean and oil change on time etc. I never performed the 30k since car was in excellent shape. Now that it's past 60k I am thinking about the 60k check it. Is it worth it?

Park place lexus stared 770 for oil change/sparks/air filter/tire rotation

Sewell quoted 1075 for the same plus some type of engine flushing

Is the flushing needed?

Also I noticed that when I hit the gas hard from full stop or going over a bump that it makes some loose body sound.. will they be able to look and maybe find it during the 60k?

Wow those quotes are a ripoff. Oil change- $60 at Lexus, Spark plugs can be done at 90k unless you feel the need to get them done at 60k costs around $150. Air Filter can be bought online for $15 and installed yourself. Tire rotation can be done at any tire shop for $50. But I get mine done at Costco for $20.

Personally I wouldn't pay more than $275 to get all those things done. Just call up and tell them you need your Oil Change and Spark plugs done instead of asking for the 60k service, I guarantee your quote will be much lower.

Also what about your brake fluid? That should need to be done at 60k no?

Spark plugs are 60k, the pricing is still high.

My local dealer wants 550 for the 60k service on my gs350. Most of it is stuff I can DIY, and about 75% of the menu is "inspect XXX" anyway, and most of us can do those on our own. I'm taking it in for the oil and filter, and I'm planning to replace the air filter myself with either a K&N or the f sport one. Brake fluid, coolant, and plugs can usually wait.

Does anyone know what the gap suppose to be on the spark plugs? I'll probably go with some Ngk plugs I know toyota uses denso.

Simple Google search returned .044, but you can always call the dealer and confirm.

Remember to get the brake fluid changed. Some people will debate it up and down but it's every two years or 30K miles whichever comes first

Why not just use the OEM denso ones? Then, you don't have to worry about the gap since its already to spec.

Spark plugs were easy when I did them, but as a first timer, I didn't want to introduce ANY variables into my backyard mechanic experience so I just went with the Denso ones.

Ngk and denso are pretty much the same spark plug. I have ngks in my turbo Integra and is300 currently they have always performed well. The spark plugs come pre gap anyways or at least majority of the time. If there not gap then ill gap them myself, it's really easy.
