I've noticed there is eomthing being "pumped" on a regular basis, even after the car is off. I opened the hood and the top right section (standing in front of the car) has a metal square with several tubes running in/out. This is what keeps turning on, seems to me its pumping something, somewhere. It happens while driving, stopped and even after car is off and im walking away from it. I fear its going to kill my battery at some point, or that something is empty but it keeps trying to pull something?
Any thoughts?

Yeah, my wife drives a HiHy and it too makes strange noises - but the frequency of mine seems to be something wrong?
I went out to get something from my car hours after it was parked, unlocked it, got in, locked it, and it started making the noise as I was walking away...

my hybrid make "squossh squeeak" noise when i am lightly accelerating. sometime let off it will make sound, starting to brake it make that sound, i will try to see if i can record a video clip of it

and no, i am not talking about the battery or motor humming sound

The manual is a good resource for this...

When I got my mom a CT200h, I heard the thing making noises hours after use or during.
Sure enough, a look in the manual explains all.

It's all 'normal' for Toyota hybrids.

My brake warning lights, vsc,etc all came on..said I needed 500 brake job (rear rotors, front turned, all new pads) got that done, lights came back on again. Take it back and he reset it but said he thinks the unit that pushes fluid to the brakes is going bad and to go to dealer...I'm pretty sure this is the unit that's been making the noise more frequently. He said if you knock on the unit it turns it on, I haven't verified that yet.
Any ideas what could be going on?

ABS actuator. Common issue with 430/450h/460 as the brakes are electronic. 300/350 are hydraulic.

Easy to fix by myself? How much am I looking at?

Took it to dealer...says I need a new ecu for $2400, and maybe the actuator but the ecu got so hot it stopped talking to their computer? I've brought this to autozone a couple times and had them read the codes which were low voltage in braking system, but no one ever mentioned it got too hot to touch, maybe they didn't have it hooked in long enough to notice the heat? Thought that was strange.
Said my abs won't work or anti skid stuff but because brakes are hydrolic they would still be fine.
Any thoughts? Can I get a used ecu?
