Anyone know if this would work? I'm going to be wiring up a dual battery kit, and I'm wondering if I could use the battery bracket out of the 450h to trunk-mount the rear battery in my 350. I don't know if the same mounting points are available or if I would need to replace the trunk liner as well, or what.

Also going to be mounting an air compressor for my train horn, need to figure out where to put that.

Is there a cover for it, or would I be able to use the trunk liner from a 450h in my 350 as well?

There's also this one, which seems dead center in the trunk. Does it go in the spare battery hole? It's designed for the cars that have the active suspension option:

Bump... can anyone perhaps provide pictures of the 450h trunk with the covers and stuff removed? The left cover on my 350 has enough room for another battery, but I don't see any bolt holes for a mounting bracket.

you would need to drill new holes. if you take out the spare tire or cut some of that plastic that holds the spare tire in place you may have room.

under that left cover is only big enough to fit a small battery... that is if your trying to cover it too.

hope that helps. question though... why do you want to put another battery in?

Thanks for your help. It's going to run an air compressor for my train horns. I just need to figure out the best way to mount everything and route some heavy wire up to the front along with some air hose.

why not just wire from your stock battery though? you can always upgrade the batter if you feel its too weak. always a good mod for accessories =)

Mainly because I don't want to be stranded with a dead battery if the compressor is running too long, and also because the rear battery allows me to self-jump in case the main battery dies. I'm using Odyssey batteries currently.

ah I see.... what size is the compressor shouldn't have to be that big to blow a train horn should it? I have a viair95c that powers the compressor on my ruckus. u can air in air out for hours before the battery drains.... that battery is super small too.

I went ahead and ordered a generic bracket off ebay, because it was cheaper and much stronger. Now I just need to figure out how to mount it and how to run some wire and hose.

now that i got my GS, i wanted to get an air set up and go VIP. but i didnt know that one of the concerns was the compressor running constant and killing the battery. do most guys run a second battery for their air set ups?

Well it would only be a problem if you were going to be running it a lot with the car off.

No, the compressors do not run on constant. They turn off when the car shuts off, you hook them up via relay to the compressor's system (Accuair anyways).

They only turn on if you air up while the car's off, and while it's on, it's on for maybe 3-5 seconds and it shuts off.
