The 3GS has a weak structure. The engineer admitted the 3GS was done at about 100mph around the nurburgrine and the doors started shaking. The creaks are a result of the weak structure. So no amount of felt between the windshield will help. They remedied that during the development of the 4GS. The dashboard on my 2008 ES350 creaked over everything as well. My 2011 RX not so much but the structure does shudder but less than the ES. These were all cars developed under the previous President of Toyota. The newer models developed under Akio seems to be better built. The Genesis seems like a nice car, especially for the price.

Weird because when im around 90-100mph on the highway it feels so effortless, no creaks or rattles. I've hit 120+mph a couple times and it felt like i was going 80-90mph because it was so smooth with no rattles.

Exactly. On my many trips to Florida from Georgia, I hit 100+mph on plenty of occasions and car felt solid as hell.

Cut-throat. It is a nice car. But I wouldn't have paid $50K+ on a 2014, when 2013's can be had for a hefty discount, about $35-$38K..... Depreciation on those cars are crazy......

Don't get me wrong, I love those cars. And they pack so much stuff into them for the price. It's a nice car for what it has and can do. Good luck.

Haha... You must of had an isolated issue, cause I hit 140 the other day and it was smooth sailing... Like a knife through warm butter!!

Same here I don't agree with the whole weak structure comment.

Yes I hit 120+ all the time never had my door shake or car rattle. That's clearly an isolated issue LOL.

I cannot agree that recalls do not count against a car's reliability. A reliable car is trouble-free. A car subject to many recalls is the opposite of that. Just because a particular owner may not have experienced the problem first hand doesn't make it less of an issue.

Congrats to the OP. Nice car. Since my LS460 I am a huge fan of V8s. V6s just dont have the punch or high end pull.

Many happy miles !!

Hahaha... Completely disagree!! If you look up the specs on the 6 cylinder GS, it runs the quarter mile right around 13.9 give or take a tenth of a second... The '89 to '93 Ford Mustang ran a 13.8 bone stock, which by the way was a V8... Your LS460, without knowing the year, is right around 14.4... Now, some websites vary, in my search I saw these same numbers and variations of around +/- 4 tenths of a second... Either way, the 6 cylinder has the same or slightly more pull than your LS.

I test drove 2 LS460s before buying my GS, the LS is fast, but the 6 cylinder GS doesn't lack in punch or high end pull at all!!
