Congrats on your R-spec which I'm sure you got a huge deal on it since they sold very poorly and its value packed. Fast as heck but doesn't handle very well. Why didn't you get the new Genesis which is on the way out of curiosity? Please don't turn this into a pissing match like last time....

In regards to the creaks and rattles, yes that shouldn't be happening in a luxury car like this. However, if that was your main complaint, all you had to do was stuff felt in between the windshield and dash. It's really an extremely quick and easy fix.

Anyhow, you gotta do what makes you happy. Enjoy the new ride.
Yes its tons of post on fixing the rattle issue.

Probably because the 4GS doesn't offer a V8? I too was set on getting the 4GS but was disappointed when the V8 was dropped

I have yet to hear a rattle in my GS460... I've always liked the Genesis! Hyundai has definitely stepped its game up, but that's only been in the last 5-6 years or so. Will be interesting to see how they hold up over time!

I think the only comparison vs the new GS vs the R-Spec and the GS won and it wasn't even a F-Sport. The new GS is a completely different animal to the 3GS, I would know pretty well

I seriously considered this car but at the end of the day it's a Hyundai that's built with cheap materials. Just like my Ford I bought, it looked pretty and shiny when brand new and I was happy with it but when it starts falling apart after a few years because of the cheap materials and poor workmanship in the end it's just a turd. That's why I always end up going back to Lexus if I buy used.

i like the Genisis. Hyundai has a full line up and reliability of all are factored in. I know 2 people who own the Genesis and they've been trouble free. I'm betting yours will be the same.

The GS and the Genisis aren't in the same category, IMO. The Genisis is a full on luxury sedan while the GS is more sport sedan. i also love the Genisis Coupe in V8 trim.
