07 GS 350 Test Drive - Need Advice Please
Hi guys. I test drove an 07 GS today with 120k miles. It has 2 minor accidents (driver's side and then front Ieft). It started quietly but when put it in drive, there was a low tone hum and the steering wheel had a slight vibration. It goes away while driving. Is this normal?
Also, the seat seemed stuck at first and then moved with a bit of a loud bang - was fine after that. Is this a common issue? Trying to figure out if there are major issues to come. I need this car for work.
Thanks guys, really appreciate it.

Surprised no one has commented yet on your concerns.
I have this model and can tell you what your experiencing is not normal.
These issues could very well be minor, but normal, no.

You didn't mention how much. That would be a deciding factor if these two issues were major or minor. You can probably find another GS350 in the area with zero to a couple of minor issues for the same price that they are selling this one.

Thanks guys. We decided to pass. We did find another about an hour away and went to test drive it. That one did not have the vibration - but the interior was in worse shape and looked like it had some kind of water damage. So we passed on that one as well, lol. We'll keep looking!

Just get one for like 5k that doesn't have a check engine light or any other light or codes. Get someone with techstream to scan the steering column ecu, tranny ecu, and others for codes too. Check the engine compression and tranny for smoothness at low speed especially when speeding up from a low speed. Bad tranny will not be smooth in bumper to bumper traffic you will feel the car shake some.
When you're in drive foot on the brake it's ok to get a little bit of vibration. It's a used car. You want an absolutely pristine example you might have to look(and pay) upwards of 10k
