Bluetooth issues Samsung phones with Lexus Gen 4 navigation units.
I'm posting this to help anyone having audio issues with their Bluetooth connection with their Samsung phone.
This all started after a software update on my Samsung galaxy S3. After going from android 4.1 to 4.2 my phone's connection through the car sounded horrible. It was also connecting intermittently and dropping audio in the middle of calls. I thought it was my phone. I tried it all,
Delete phone
Add phone again
Reset Bluetooth
Reset phone
Turn car off+on
Nothing worked.
I then switched carriers and got a totally different phone. Samsung galaxy light.
Same problem. So i thought might be the car. I started searching and found this.

Went back to the store. Changed my phone to an Lg running 4.2 kitkat.
Its flawless. Sounds incredibly clear. Tech at the store told me they've been seeing cases like mine lately. This was driving me nuts. Hope this helps someone.

There's a 4.4 kitkat?
I have a 06' GS430, non-nav.
I have zero problems on the phone call with my phone to deck.
I am currently using a Tmo-Note 3 (4.2.3), and I've used a SGSII (4.1.2).
FWIW, I believe kitkat is 4.4, not 4.2. Unless you mean 4.4.2

I honestly think it's random.... It worked and didn't work sometimes on my SGS II, I used it on gingerbread, ICS, and JB. They were intermittent and I swear my car was moody on some days...
After my Note 3, I haven't had one single problem. People have claimed it's because of the BT LE or whatever... It's the energy savings mode of the BT, causing the phones not to be able to sync with the car...
I'd say wait for the KK release on your phone (If it is a newer phone), and report back to see if you have any problems!
FWIW, each phone's OS is catered 100% differently (swapping between companies like HTC Samsung and LG that is).
GL guys! I'll post updates on KK for my phone if this thread still lives.
