Does anybody have production counts for the GS460? The vast majority of them that I see for sale are 2008's, out of ~38 for sale on AutoTrader (entire US) there's 3 that are 2010+ and the rest are 2008 with 1-2 being 2009.
Would love to get a 2010+ with the updates and I'm sure some old retired guy in Florida has the exact car I want (blue/black) but these look to be insanely rare. Had this engine in an '07 LS460, loved the engine much more than the car.
Could always get an IS-F instead? But I'm looking for more highway cruiser than sportscar, and something tells me the IS-F's ride would be a little rough.

Have yourself a look in this thread, jbuffett:

2008 = 1,616 Units
2009 = 56 Units
2010 = 43 Units
2011 = ?
For 2008, ok sure. But less than 150 after 2009? That's hard to believe.

yes, indeed. love the rarity of the gs460 with the 2011 model year in particular. that's why i pushed so hard to obtain my rare '11. i do, however, believe that the 3rd gen gs-460 is much faster than 4th gen gs-350/450h due to experience racing them on street. still confused on why the listed 1/4 mile times are nearly identical.

Ive also noticed a bit of hesitation of the line at close to wot,seems like the ecu is pulling timing up to about 4k then it comes to life,anyone else notice this with the 4.6 in the 460
anyone tried removing just the silencer in the middle of the exh system to get a lil more exh note out of the car,Doesnt seem like even full exh system with x pipe makes any more power,this seems like a inexpensive way to get a lil v8 sound outa the car without making it loud and annoying

Mine doesn't burn any oil. I change the oil every 7k miles with Mobile 1 5-20 full synthetic. She has about 115k miles now, but still runs like a champ. Mine has both silencers removed, I can't tell if there's any performance gain but I believe there a MPG gain on interstate driving.
