Default GS300 06 Headlight & Brake Lights On

Hello,
Locked the car with remote and went shopping and to dinner(gone about 5 hours), when we came out the headlights and brake lights were on..... Do you think someone try to break into our car? Does the head and brake lights stay on after the security alarm system goes off?
Thank you

it happens sometimes, it's a glitch that happens on the GS, so expect it and make sure you turn off the lights before exiting.

I have an 06 as well and its either a glitch or you didn't fully close a door or trunk. I was taking grocery's in one day and didn't fully close a door. I went back into my garage an hour later and all the lights were still on. I shut the door in question and after a few seconds the lights turned off. I wasn't sure if there was something wrong with the car so I tested my results a couple of times and each time I left a door open the lights stayed on. I think its a safety feature to make you aware that a door is still open.

Having the same issue. First noticed a few months ago, then again today. No doors/trunk left open, car was off and locked. Lights were on automatic. I unlocked, got in and started the car. Before I touched anything, noticed the drivers overhead light would flicker on and off randomly, in sync with the red safety light on the lower interior of the driver door. Weird. Since the car is 8 years old and this only just now starts happening, there has to be a fix, other than simply going 80's and turning the lights off manually. ECU reset? Something simpler?

I had the issue with the Overhead lights inside flickering, as well as the lights staying intermittently on. I had the drivers side door courtesy switch replaced 6 months ago. I have not had the flicker, nor headlamps not turning off issue since.
