CAK 500

Anyone else experiencing a drop in MPG since the recall service? After two tanks, I'm averaging a drop of about 2 MPG.

I would say about the same honestly, did not notice a single thing, almost like it was never done.

Does this recall affect the GS450h? Although, We don't get the 350 over here in the UK the engines essentially the same! I believe the 2gr lump in the 450h is de-tuned slightly as the hybrid drive adds 40bhp, so it may be different anyway??

My mileage has improved, however there is a caveat - I had the dealer replace the plugs during the recall, as I saved a significant amount in labor cost.

Are you are you are really getting lower mileage. I believe the cumulative mileage calculator was reset when the recall work was done.

Mine was getting 20 before the recall now it is at 18 after. I thought that “free” tank of gas with a recall was a little strange. I guess Lexus must have known this was coming. In hindsight I shouldn’t have asked my dealer why they didn’t fill it up.

Prior to the recall work, I was averaging 21-22 MPG's. Since, I'm fortunate to get 18 MPG's and no changes in my driving patterns or habits. WTH???

Wow, I'm getting like 23-24 mpg then again I drive in all sorts of driving conditions to and from work. Before the recall I'd like I was more in the 25 mpg range so not to far off.

Anyone checked your tire pressure lately?
Mine was down from 35 psi to 32 psi. Loosing a mpg or two.

Mine dropped from 25-26 to 18-19. What did they do to a car

This thread has scared me away from the recall for now - I currently get between 16-19 MPG and I'm terrified it'll drop 5 MPG... I absolutey loathe living in miami as it is (T - 1 year to move). If getting this recall means getting significantly less milage, i'm holding off for now (luckily mine is a 2010 with 28k miles - so i have some time)

I noticed a drop of about 5-6 mpg's....In a way I wish I hadn't done it lol

Last winter my car showed 19.x mpg.
Recall was done a couple months.
This winter (this month) is a lot colder than last year, and the avg shows 20.x mpg.
