Unhappy awd & staggered wheel setup ??

How's it going guys !...I recently purchased an 08' awd gs 350 and LOVE it. (came from acura)
However a while wheel hunting, a friend pointed out how a staggered wheel setup might be a cause for concern if I plan on going that route. So my question's are.
Has anyone on here gone that route ?...and if so how was it ?...
Thanks in advance !....

You'll be fine with staggered setup as long as the overall rolling diameter is the same.

For instance, if you get 20x9.0 front / 20x10.5 rear, then your tires should be 245/35/20 front 285/30/20 rear. You could also go with 235/35/20 and 275/30/20, but since you're in NY 235's on a 9.0 in New York is not recommended. We don't have the best roads here

Im AWD staggers

Front 20x7.5 245/35/20
Rear 20x10.5 275/30/20

Btw this is the same setup the local dealers used to when they add aftermarket 20's to the new lexus 3GS

However I do rub up front, mainly because I run Conti DWS and they are more square design. You can go a tad smaller height and your AWD system will be ok.

it rubs because the front tire is too big. you really want a 245/30 up front.

with the awd is ok to stagger it if you do whats mentioned and match the overall diameters but dont oversize your tires as you'll run the risk of damage that way as well.

Damm 245 on a 7.5" wheel? That can't look good at all.. I'm running a 235 on a 10.5" wheel. I'm about that stretch life doh...to each his own

As stated the overall diameter needs to be the same all the way around... now people keep saying by going bigger than stock you will mess it up and this is completely untrue! The only thing that will be messed up is your speedometer will be off a little. Good luck man!!

I'm running 245/35 up front and 275/30 in the rear, I used a tire calculator and this is as close to stock 17 diameter as I could get
