My understanding is that the recall is related to that particular issue. It was a service bulletin previously which meant it would only be repaired if they could duplicate the issue. Now, with an actual recall, they will perform whatever repair is necessary to remedy it, even if they don't have any evidence of the issue on your particular car (assuming it is part of the block of vehicles identified on the recall). It's been happening on mine for some time now (rattle on cold start-up) so I am definitely looking forward to getting this addressed. And a free tank of gas. Let's hope they give a '13 GS as a loaner.

I Called my local Lexus dealership, and they told me to wait till i get a phone call from them.
I feel like a pain in the *** becaus ei called yesterday to ask if I can leave the car on there lot till they figurre out what ever they beed to figure out. My GS350 had the bolts back out while drivibg already. This car has been sitting for about 3 months now.
They declined to let me tow it over there till they have an answer.

I'm sitting in the dealership now waiting for my other vehicle. Service advisors here have heard nothing yet from HO.

What dealership will you be going to? I've been to Lexus of Seattle for recalls and never got a tank of gas. I'm looking forward to this repair (again) because this chatter has returned after the past repair. Also, keep a close eye on your oil level.

i went on mylexus.com and the recall note next to my vehicle disappeared. Guess a lot of people hit them up for the recall, and since there is not a remedy yet, they took it off.

Valve spring recall and this recall, which one has more work?
Hopefully they find a source for oil consumption since last recall.

will this latest recall require new valve cover gaskets to be installed?
