gs350 Water Pump Replacement
Hey Guys, my 07 has about 62.5 on it and im wondering if I should replace the water pump. I have noticed any drop in coolant levels etc, but I am one who tries to be very preventative when it comes to maintenance. Any thoughts? Thinking about buying the kit and tackling it next weekend.

Theres a thread I created about water pumps, personally I would replace it for peace of mind. You can buy them very cheap and there easy to install. Aisin is an aftermarket brand owned by toyota, basically youll get an OE part for the cost of aftermarket. Youll see toyota stamp shaved off

I am in the same boat. Last weekend the dealer said that the water pump was going bad. Its a 2007 with 62,xxx miles as well.
The car doesn't get driven a lot. So I'm going to do what burny is doing and replace it this fall when it gets cooler outside.

LOL, you aint got no choice on the coolant bro. Replace your upper and lower hoses and the serpentine belt while you are at it.

As far as cooling you do not have to remove all the coolant, just drain half the radiator into a clean container to allow you to take off the top radiator hose.
Just make sure to use blue loctite on the water pump and pulley.

thanks brother. Doing the recall this coming Tuesday and will do water pump after that. Got everything needed here and will replace hoses, belt, thermostat, idler and pump. Will flush radiator at this time also.

When installing a H20 pump, shouldn't the timing belt be changed out as well?
If taken to the dealership does anyone know how much they will charge for this service?
cheers
