Default just want to introduce myself

just wanted to say hello to the forum and i hope to become a valued member. i joined a few years ago only to buy wheels in the marketplace but now im in the market for 3GS for a daily. i currently drive a 95 Acura NSX-T as my daily mainly because i live Florida at the moment but i will moving to Virginia soon so i decided i need a new daily. im no stranger to car forums so ill try to search as much as possible before starting a thread to ask a question. heres a few pics to share of my NSX. any tips on things i should look for or watch out when looking for one of these would be greatly appreciated.

If you are going to slam it, get a RWD. AWDs dont like to be driven low.

Welcome to the party.

That is a nice NSX. We actually have a moderator here who has a white NSX.

Are you looking to get a V6 or V8?

Anyways, stay away from 2006 models. They come with older navi, less hp, smaller brakes than 2007+ models. 2008 had a minor facelift, grille and bumpers were changed.. If you are planning on lowering the car, then get the RWD.

There were not any major recalls, so you don't have to worry about that...

Wonder if he's on my nsx forum.

I'm not looking for anything special. Just a basic v6. I do want to lower it so I guess that means rwd. I was looking at a 2006 model actually. The less hp and smaller brakes don't bother me. Maybe the navi though. Got to find out more info on that. You said there was a minor facelift. Is that bumper and grille compatible with the 06 if I wanted to switch. The only mods I would be looking to do is wheels, suspension and lip kit. im leaving all the heavy modding to my nsx.

Thanks a lot you've given me a ton of helpful info.

He is probably there

Yes, front bumper and grille can be easily swapped. I also forgot about the side mirrors with integrated turn signals that 2008 models received as a part of the facelift.

The navi is pretty bad in 06, but that's my opinion, you might be ok with it. I'm pretty sure you can update the maps, it's just the graphics and resolution is very low, like something from the 90's

Also, if you're planning on getting a lip kit in future, then it's better to have 2006 - 2007. There are more kits available for those years. Unless of course you're getting a full bumper replacement kit, then it don't matter which year

Thanks again. I'd love to get a full bumper kit but I'm trying to keep it to a lip kit. Trying not to go mod crazy with it if I get one. One last thing, are the newer mirrors easily swapped over?

Stay away from the 2006. They had a carbon buildup issue.

As far I know it was not easy to swap the mirrors, but a few people have done this in the past.
