Default What to do with factory rims - '06 GS300

Hi all,

I have a "new to me" 2006 GS300. The person that sold me the car has added aftermarket rims because the factory ones are kind of beat up.

My question is - what should I do with the factory rims?

Options:
1. Get them refinished and keep them - use for winter tires, maybe? I live in Minnesota.
2. Get them refinished and sell them. I believe it is about $175 per rim to refinish?
3. Sell them as-is.
4. Recycle?

Other ideas?

Thanks!

If you like them, refinish them or sell them as is to someone who may be able to refinish these cheaper than $175/each.

I think you can get a brand new set of these for around 1k though.

What type of aftermarket wheels do you have on your car now? Id keep them for the winter. They've been beat up pretty bad. I honestly don't think they will sell fast even if you choose to fix them.

I'd recycle them. I had a bad experience with damaged wheels that were fixed. OE wheels arent that expensive. For a grand you could have a new set of OE (quality, high strength, and not damaged) wheels for winter.

Those are pretty chewed up - somebody used the Park By Touch method - not cool. But you would never get your money back out of them if u invest 175.00 each, so either sell as is for cheap or use for winter wheels. Sand down the damage a little and refinish them matte black and you won't notice near as much.

get a cheap set of winter wheels with that 800-1k. you'd spend on the refinish.
