Default Any reasons to go with 19s vs. 20s?

First off I plan to go with all 4 the same since my GS is AWD and I want to be able to rotate. Also do not plan to drop this car.

I have 19" Axis Milanos on my Maxima and they look friggin huge, so I'm thinking 19s might be just about right on the GS. Just wondering if there are any benefits to either 19s or 20s on a GS? One over the other I mean.

The GS doesn't have the glass smooth ride of say an LS to begin with, so that tiny bit more sidewall of 19s might be nice.....

The GS is a big car, 19's looks small on it imo. I have an AWD with staggered 20's so no you don't have to have the same wheel or size all around. Just make sure the height of the tire is the same all around. I have no issues!

I am planning on going the same route as you, although I am going to lower on EZ street coiovers,
What wheels and offset are you looking at?

If I dropped it would be Eibach, I've had on other vehicles and liked them a lot.

I am really liking the TSW Carthage in silver.....offset I don't know, I've seen 35, 40 and 45.....which do I need?

Hope this helps.....

here's my car on 19's

and here it is on 20's

The height was not changed between changing the wheels. I have Megan racing EZ coil overs. in my opinion, 19's look good on the car. but if you want less wheel gap without making the car too low, go with 20's. but since you're not planning on lowering the car, i would go with 20's

I have 19's and I think it looks great. Also have AWD but I'm lowered on RCA blocks.

Off topic but how did the you (poster above me) get the yellow fog look? Just yellow vinyl lens?

Man, your 3GS looks sick on those CV1's!

And to the OP, like everyone, including yourself, has said, 19's will allow for more sidewall and a comfier ride than the 20's, but 19" tires are typically more expensive, and some sizes are harder to find. So many cars come with 20's from the factory, so tires are a plenty But the best thing about the GS, like redb202's car, it looks great on either size! Throw on the Maxima wheels and see how they look, trial and error is often the best way to decide. You can see how they sit and if you're happy with the look! Post some pics if you do!

My ride 20" vs stock 17" didn't change much. I run a 245/35/20 in the front and 275/30/20 rear. Here in town the lexus dealer when they "upgrade" the new GS with aftermarket wheels they use my same set-up
