Default 35watt ballast ---> 55watt ballast

has anyone ever swapped out the OEM 35watt ballast?? i really like the 55 watt ballast with 5k bulbs. stupid bright yes i know and living in WA its needed.

as long as the stock wiring harness can handle it, i dont see a problem.

^ heat is also a problem. 55watt been known to melt a few headlights.

i honestly dont think you need anything brighter than hids. are you using the proper temp bulb?

if your having problems seeing, use the high beams. if you think your lights arent bright enough, get into a car with halogen bulbs then drive yours again. you'll appreciate the difference.

I did the 55w with the fog lights as i was scared to melt the headlights. Went Yellow and love it, can literally see a huge difference (I didn't have hid's in the fogs before)

I'd be careful 35w is definitely bright enough running 55w can melt your housing!

I have 5k 55watt HID's for my high beams. Stupid bright. No like. Really helps on country roads
