Default CPO 2010 GS 350 suggestions

Hi all, new to this forum. I'm interested in two 2010 awd GS 350's, both cpo cars.
Both silver with nav. 1st one has 40k miles with ML option and $ 34k. Second one has 26k miles, nav, but no ML audio, $ 33 k. Since this will be my 1st Lexus, I need some some suggestions on some of the questions I should ask each dealer, I will be test driving both tomorrow.

Thanks all.

Depends on how important the 14k mile difference is to you. Not that big of a deal on a CPO, and the options on are probably worth the 1k extra. And usually they have more wiggle room on a car with more options on it, so you may be able to get it for less, or at least the same price.

If miles arent a major issue, i would compare the ML and non ML side by side and see if it makes the price difference worth it. Good luck!

When I bought my 2010 GS350 AWD with 26k miles (CPO, Nav and ML) a few months back, I asked to see Certification Process check list along with Carfax. It would not hurt to check the vin#'s with Lexus Owners website to see if anything catches your eyes (ie. has 30k maintenance service been done).
Keep in mind, CPO warranty is somewhat of limited warranty vs bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Not sure how long these cars' bumper2bumper warranty is left (car fax?) but I had my AC vent trim that was broken replaced under the bumper2bumper warranty which would not have been covered under CPO warranty.
In regards to ML option, you should test out the sound with own CD while you are test driving and decide for yourself whether it's worth the extra 1k.

Checking out the car fax, I do see that the one with 25k miles has had 3 previous owners, while the one with 40k has had only one owner. In regards to the ML audio, I'm more of an iPod/radio listener, so i dont think I;ll get any great benefit from the ML audio.

I would go with the first one, the one with ML although it ain't that great it's still pretty good system. The price I think you should try for 32k-33K, good luck! Make sure you extended the CPO coverage ask the dealer as this needs to be done at signing.

That alone would make me want the one with ML. Although it has more mileage, 40k still isn't much at all. Use the 25k as leverage to get a better price on the 40k model.

I just found a cpo 2010 awd, red/black with 15 k miles, NAV/ML, they're asking $ 36.900. Went into service on 6/10 so should have bumper to bumper until 6/4/14. Just a thought but what if I drop the cpo and get a much better price and later purchase a lexus extended warranty?

is there special financing if you go CPO? or are you able to match the rate if you dropped it? CPO is a joke IMO...

When I bought my 2010 cpo in August, they gave me the option to not have cpo for 1K less. Although he said the cpo check up procedures had already been done.

I'd get the lower miles, 1 owner car, without ML.

Cpo's have a special financing rate I believe also. And road side assistance

You guys have me thinking maybe i'm better off having them take off the cpo, save the $ 1000 and purchase a lexus extended warranty before the full coverage expires. Is a lexus extended warranty as good as having a cpo car?

For $1k, why not keep CPO? since Lexus extended warranty at "stealership" will cost you more (can't shop around for this as bigblack06 pointed out, you must buy at the signing)? I'd also go with the 1st one with ML since it's 1-owner and at the right price.

I bought my 2010 GS 350 AWD blk on blk with 48K miles couple months ago, one owner just about every option except ML for 28k. In my opinion if you do your research on car fax, lexus vehicle history report, inspection, etc. then I feel like buying a CPO or purchasing an extended warranty isn't worth it. Don't get me wrong it can certainly bring peace of mind but lets be honest you're purchasing a toyota underneath that Lexus skin! If it were an american car then in most cases you would need two warranties and good medical benefits just to get it home hahaa... just my two cents.

Def you can grab an extended warranty on here, there is someone that sells them and he sells them a whole lot cheaper than the dealership. If your financing than like passnu2 said there are incentives you would lose.
