Default Shop wont mount wheels.

I purchased some GS F Sport wheels off a new GS350. Tire shop told me they refuse to mount because it might mess with the transfer case.

Sizes:

Front Wheels: Rear Wheels:
- Size: 19x8 - Size: 19x9
- Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3 - Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
- Offset: 45 - Offset: 60
- Hub Center Bore: 60.1 - Hub Center Bore: 60.1
- Finish: Anthracite - Finish: Anthracite
- Center Caps: Anthracite - Center Caps: Anthracite

Front Tires: Rear Tires:
- Size: 235/40-19 - Size: 265/35-19
- Brand: Bridgestone Potenza - Brand: Bridgestone Potenza
- Model: RE050A - Model: RE050A
- Load Index: 96 - Load Index: 94
- Speed Index: Y - Speed Index: Y

Should I return the wheels or try another shop? I did read the other threads about staggered setups, but couldn't really find a good answer.

Edit: Got the RCA blocks installed and wheels mounted. Looks much better.

go to a different shop.

i assume your car is awd? if so, those tire sizes are very very close and should be fine. the shop probably just doesnt want to run the risk and having you come back and blame them.

Yes the car is AWD. I was thinking it should not be an issue at all with the research I did.

Thanks!

Buy the tools, put them on yourself, and save the money.

Floor jack - $50
Torque wrench - $30
21mm socket (make sure to get a 6 point rather than a 12 point to decreas the chance of stripping) - $5

And just torque them down to 80 or so lbs.

yes you should be fine. as long as the overall diameter is close you should be good. a 235/35 would be better as thats closer to stock but the 235/40 shouldnt hurt anything

Why would they think that bigger tires would effect the transfer case?

Done & done. First place was a PITA. Sears did it.

Would've done everything myself by I don't have a workspace since moving into a downtown apartment.

I had the 30mm front and rear RCA blocks done right away as well. Car looks much better now! Pictures coming soon, my iPhone wont let me upload them.

I paid 480 (or so) for the front and rear complete sets, shipped.

No vibration or wobbles. Will be more scrupulous tomorrow as I drive it around.

Thanks!

Darn, Vadimo. I was just gonna tell you, "Just forget it" and ship the wheels to me. I'll pay you what you have in them.

Offer is still open......

RCAs do not give the vibration or wobble as its not messing with the suspension
