Default How to get rid of chrome around headlights?

I would like to get rid of the chrome around the headlights. I am going chrome free. It's a white GS. Is it best to just find the white trim(if that's even possible) and do that or what exactly can I do?

Easy to take it off? I know that the bumper needs to be off to do the grill.

I can't find anyone locally in Boise to wrap it. I wanted other chrome parts wrapped and I'm gonna have to do it myself. Any Boise members here?

Alot of people plasti-dip the chrome pieces which looks great and is nice because you don't have to remove the pieces. It gives it a matte black finish.

My car is in the process of being "de-chromed" at the bodyshop. I went with a glossy black finish.

The plastidip is okay, you will need to reaapply it every year or two though it doesn't really last. I put a lot of thin coats on my rear emblems of black plastidip and it is peeling off in some spots already. I'm not sure I'd want to go through it all over the car.

Would painting the chrome work? Maybe just make it white. Just the headlight chrome. The rest I can plastidip or vinyl.

I ordered some white vinyl. We will see how it turns out.

Should I remove the trim (if so, how's that done?) or just do it without removing anything?

if you do it without removing its harder, to remove the headlight you have to remove the bumper then headlight...its actually not that hard for 2 people.
