Default My 2nd time on the Drag Strip!

I managed to get into the 13's finally and could have improved, but didn't!

I was trying a different trick on every run and ended up realizing that the best way to launch was basically, holding on to the brakes, throttle to 1k and let go!

My 1st and best run was

And then all other runs were pretty much bad! And here's one of them!
No one got my 1st run on video!

Enjoy!

Congrats!! What speed! 100-102 I'm assuming?

Wonder if would be a bit faster with stock tires. In what gear did you finish?

162 km/h = 100mph

Not sure about stock tires, perhaps yes perhaps no. I'm running wider setup and more rubber at the rear! I'm on Pirelli PZero Nero's as well.

Good question about gears, I have no idea! I would guess maybe 5th!

I love the BIC track! So professional and clean, way nicer then most of the tracks in the US.

Im sure you can get in the mid 13's if you put stock back rims on, took out some weight likev remove spare tire, floor mats, trunk rugs, back seat, books, and etc. Put a bag of ice on the intake before you run.

Congrats on the 13's!

I can see the tach in your vid and it shows you in 4th when you shut it down. I was going to edit my response this morning to 4th but got lazy and just left it.

For some reason your past track vids your car looked a lot faster than the one you posted this morning. Maybe one day i'll take the 911 to the strip as the GS is just not worth the trip. The nearest strip to me is quite a distance away.

I think wide 18"s with big stickies should help out a lot.
Btw, congrats

I think the only thing to do is to do something with the tranny, quicker shifts. Not sure if the valve body modification or computer reprogramming that will do it.

When I used to drag race, I never took anything out of the trunk. I wanted to see what the car runs in street trim. When I got my Lincoln running from 16.1 down to 14.1 at 100, I knew exactly who I could mess with on the street. back in early 2000 not many cars where running low 14's. Today you have a Camry and Accord dipping in 14's...... Times are good, enjoy it fellas. Once its gone, it will be gone for good.

Nice!! Not a bad time at all for a big sedan! Plus, it looked badass leaving a trail of smoke and tread marks behind!
