That doesn't make sense isn't the tundra engine a whole lot bigger than the GS. Never heard that before.

Doesn't make sense....the Tundra has the 5.7L V8, same as the Lexus LX570.

People are installing the TRD supercharger on the Tundra and LX570.

Your engine is not the same as a a Tundra nor a Tacoma lol

Even if it were the same engine you have other factors to consider, a supercharger will cost a lot. Your better off turbo charging, there you will make more power if done correctly.

I believe HKS at one time made a supercharger kit, and I believe TOM's makes one aswell. If you are serious about this, there is a guy on the IS forum who had his IS350 superchargered and he went through the headache of trying to fool the ECU with piggy backs.

Even if you managed all of this, a stock ISF would still blow the doors off your car. So in reality you can just sell your car and buy a stock ISF.

Now if you said a 2jz motor swap now we are talking power, something like this beast of an IS that probably making 600-1,000hp

old thread I know...

If the 5.7 tundra motor can fit in the sc430 which is the same motor as gs430, why wouldn't the swap work to put the 5.7 in the gs?

Just because a vehicle shares one motor with another it doesn't mean it fits in without modifications. The engine bay for the SC430 might have more room. Lexus had to make changes to the 460 just to get in to fit in the GS which caused it to be detuned 40 hp...

I guess anything is possible with enough money and the will to do so...but that seems like the front off the car would be heavy as hell with a 5.7L shoe horned in there. Kinda like the same issue the Infiniti M56 suffers from but even the 5.7 doesn't make 420 hp...and I doubt you would have room for a supercharger.

1uz = 4.0L v8
2uz = 4.7L v8
3uz = 4.3L V8

the tundra motor i believe they were talking about was the 4.7L 2uz which came in the Tundra's and i believe v8 highlanders as well. etc.

for your 3rd gen GS, if you had the gs430 yes maybe you could fit the TRD Supercharger for the 4.7L on there but for your 300 it will not fit. idk why im explaining this as this threads been long dead...
