2006 Lexus GS 300. Is it me? or....?
Well. I have a 2006 Lexus GS 300 sedan AWD. So far I love the car very much. I havent had any problems with the car at all. It currently has 147,000 miles on it. The only thing I ever had problem was a loose gas cap but other than that she still rides fine. Hoping I get to keep it til it hits 300,000 miles. Oh yeah, also the dash rattles sometimes but the Mark Levinson radio tunes it out LOL. But my main concern is the sunroof buttons. I noticed when I push the sunroof buttons I have to hold them down for the sunroof to open or close I have had BMW's, Benz and older Lexus models and the sunroof buttons in those cars would open and close with one touch. I think the 2006 Lexus GS 300 needs this option. Maybe its just me but if you pay for a luxury car then the sunroof needs to open with one touch and the windows need to go up and down AUTO. I dont know maybe its just me. Anybody else feel this way?

I know nothing about the 06 GS300 but are you sure it "does not" have one touch open/close - does your manual state either way?
Our 07 GS350 does. Even my 04 Acura had one touch controls on the sunroof.
The obvious is many 06 300 owners are bound to chime in shortly..

Look in your owners manual. You have to re-initialize the roof! Its not hard at all.
Glad to hear about no troubles to almost 150k! Love stories like that. How is the ride? Have the shocks or anything else worn out?

as far as i know, to re initialize the sunroof this is what you have to do.....
with the sunroof closed, press and hold the open button till the sunroof goes fully open. once the sunroof is fully open, keep holding the button for 5 seconds. release the button.
then press and hold the close button till the sunroof is fully closed. once fully closed, keep holding the button for 5 seconds. then release the button.
i serviced toyotas at a dealer for 4 years and that what i did to them and it works. not sure on a lexus yet but it should work..
let me know if that works!!

i have a 06 gs300 and it has one touch open, close and vent so you must be doin something wrong or if its not initialized, all you have to do is hold open for like 30 sec and let the sunroof go through a whole cycle of open close and vent then it will be initialized and the one touch should work.

The side is still good. Like i said the rattles are kind of annoying but the Mark Levinson stereo tunes them out. I havent had to do shocks yet. I can only imagine how much those cost though
