Default Squeeling brakes only on V8's?

I have been informed that the issues with squeeling brakes are on the V8 models only.

I have not come across a single GS300 owner that has this issue. Almost every GS430 and 460 owner does!

I don't know what brakes are on the 350's as we don't get them here!

Do the 350's and V8's share the same brakes?

The issue is across all of the 3rd gen gs, 430,460,450 and 350 share exact same brakes. I had that issue kver and over again. I read plenty of gs300 owners having the same issue.

My 07GS350AWD went through two sets of new front pads and the squealing noise was still there.
Until two new rotors and another set of new front pads were installed from the latest TSB.
The squealing noise was completely gone.
Lexus picked up all the repair costs even the latest repair was done outside of the basic warranty.

gs460 checking in....no noisy brakes here.

I've only owned the car for <10k miles...don't know what the previous owner did, if anything.

Friction is the cause of squealing!

I wonder if the lexus backing plates are the cause of it. On my new pads they had mounting plates already riveted on, so I just discard the old ones.

I believe the GS300 has smaller calipers then the GS350/460's

When is your problem? When the brakes are cold or all the time?

I installed new aftermarket rotors and pads on my 350 and still get squealing when going in reverse only. Still can't figure out what the heck the issue is. Very frustrating

Starts with brakes cold and eventually ends up sqeeling all the time!

06 430 no squeals or anything. Sure I could hear a bit rust coming off 1st time brake when rain and parked for a long time.

IMO it's the material of the brake.

I would investigate the calipers make sure they are aligned properly. Take the pads out and inspect the insides you may have grooves forming in the calipers, because they are made of aluminum. If there is grooves you can grab fine sand paper and smooth them down.
