As I'm sure most members of this section (and unregistered readers) will have seen by now, I have advocated BG Products for possible curing of described symptoms.
In the process of sorting my car's 80K mile service, I hooked up with the local BG distributor/rep and got my usual 44K and Engine Flush cans.
Subsequently, I asked about the Ultra-Gard for the rear differential, and after doing a bit of digging around for specs info, I decided to opt for it instead of the Millers TRX or CRX.
I'd mentioned to him, when we met up, about how BG had helped VAG with their 1.8T engine sludging issue - so today I did a bit of searching to send him the info on it, and as a result, thought it'd be worth sharing here to give some background as to why I choose to advocate the brand's products/servicing equipment.
In part, that's related to his aim of getting the equipment side moving, and the transmission fluid exchange machine to demo, and for mine to be done with it so that all the fluid is removed and replaced, rather than 1/3-1/2 of it by dropping the pan.
So, hopefully the following links will serve useful and interesting.
