Default F Sport/IS F Fender Badges

Was looking at Seawell Lexus and they have F Sport fender badges for driver and passenger sides.

Thinking of ordering a set online for my right hand drive GS.

Anyone knows what's the difference for adhesion? It looks the same to me. Puzzled...

Thanks.

How about a TYPE R sticker instead.

It's your car, but seriously, don't do it. Here's my theory on badges... if the manufacturer didn't put the badge on the car, it doesn't belong on the car. Period.

Unfortunately, we're going to see a lot of people doing this now that the 4GS F-Sport model is out and has the badges on it.

Now that I'm off my soapbox, the emblems should fit the same regardless if your car is left or right hand drive.

mylparts.com have those badges cheaper than sewell. Each $20 vs. $38 at sewell. Also there is Orange County Lexus on Ebay which sells the set delivered for $47. I think GS with 18 factory wheels which are gun-metal it will look good and gives a more sporty look. With 17' regual alloy wheels may not have right flow.

Based on this thread I have actually placed an order for couple of the badges. Will put some pictures after I put them up.

You have completely missed the point.

That is because they are actually "F-Sport" models. The IS, GS, LS, and yes... even RX, have official "F-Sport" models created by Lexus. They don't just slap badges on the car. lol.

Cool... I'll enjoy my actual F-Sport performance parts, and you can enjoy the badges. It all works out.

EDIT: The examples you posted have nothing in common with the ones I posted. I also did not insinuate that there was anything poseurish about authentic ///M or AMG cars. I also did not say anything negative about a GS car with installed F-Sport parts displaying F-Sport badges.

I have never mentioned if I have upgrades or not. You've assumed that I don't and actually I do. Many people here do different upgrades which I find great, bad or funny. I have tried to encourage a new member who was looking for an advice before he was made fun of. Examples shown were extreme and were redicoulous. Be supportive of memebers. Since Lexus didn't make straight from factory an f-sport 2006-2011 GS350 I thought it is a great idea of adding a badge if makes someone happy even if he/she doesn't have upgrades.

i agree with jre002. fsport owners pay too much for that badge for people just to slap one on. you know there is a lot of truth to that statement. such as m3 for example. 335i might be very close in performance but it just doesn't have that m badge and that makes all the difference to everyones eyes including the owners

Agree with BMW example. My wife drives an M3 and makes a huge difference between 335i and M3. Actually it has real perfornance differences like accelaration, etc.... I have drifted that car many times on the race track with full control which my 335I was not capable to do wit an ease and full control. With Lexus f-sport badge doesn't mean that much. In every case you get the same engine with few better components. Performance difference are very minimal. If Lexus would stick with badging only to real performers like ISF, I would agree, but when see badging on RX, CT , IS250 the badging doesn't mean much and has no real value. It is just a marketing plot from Lexus for people to pey premium or sway from other brands to Lexus. This is just my two cents.

What's the difference between putting Fsport wheels on a non Fsport Lexus and putting and Fsport badge on an non Fsport Lexus. I've had AMG wheels on my Benz but it was AMG. To each is own. It's his money. Have at it bro. Personally I won't do it.
