On the mid 2010 models and up Lexus added the Lexus Enform (for vehicles equipped with Navi) and Safety Connect.
The navi on the 2010/2011 is a HDD based system.

2011 loses the tape deck. You've never had the NAV system, but the 2011 is a different generation...so that won't be noticeable. May have already been mentioned but I think (from memory) the 2011 added ability to play music over Bluetooth. There's probably a few other changes, but nothing too dramatic. Oh, and less rattles. I think they finally got them ironed out before putting them back in the 4GS.

And exterior colors are different. They changed the awesome Black Sapphire color to Deep Sea Mica...not as good IMO.

jtrue28,

Are you a KY fan?

How do you like your 2013 GS?

Of course, I'm a KY fan! #BBN

The 2013 is great. Much sportier, much better driving experience and they hit a homerun on the interior. (Although there are some rattles) I had the dark blue for 4 years, so I had to go with a different color this time. Love this red color.

Wink Words of wisdom

Do you really need a AWD?
Answer, 4 X 0 (coefficient of grip) = 0
(Lived in Boston area for 20 something years, driven RWD and FWR, and never had a problem in snow)

Back up camera?
Don't drive a car if can't back up the out of your drive way. And there is no substitution visual cue and verification. Or should I say check and recheck.

Beside those two points, I know nothing about the 3rd GEN GS.

jtrue28,

I am looking at trading my 2008 GS 350 (RWD - No Nav) for a 2011 AWD - Nav.

You owned both yr models.

Good move on my end to make this upgrade to the 2011?

4X0=0 is true if all 4 are on ice. People make this mistake that since they have a 4WD they are immune to ice...not true.

However, 4 wheels give you a better chance of having at least one that is NOT on ice. It all depends on the severity of the conditions that you will encounter.

Not to start a flame war, but I remain a fan of the 3GS exterior style. The 4GS is nice but is eclipsed by the new ES. Yes the GS is a bit sportier but the sporty aggressive look is now shared across both these cars shrinking the separation between the two.
