Actually shock at all these water pump issues within so low mileage. Especially since its not one of the items listed for replacement before 100,000 miles. Hopefully they are listening. Since its so cheap to replace, might as wheel replace it before it goes bad and hopefully it last another 100,000 miles.

^ are you sure it says not to flush coolant until 100k?
Only good thing is we hopefully caught the trend quick enough for everyone to monitor and change out. I just did most of this stuff at 158k on our BMW. Things were still working but its common to see failure at or before 150k with the water pump and a few other things. Just like I suggest here best to be safe then sorry and incur more expense.

I don't see coolant flush until 100K miles then 50K miles thereafter.
Want to monitor the cooling system for leak?
Fill the coolant level in the reserve tank to upper level when the engine is cold.
After getting home after a good distance drive, check the coolant level in the reserve tank.
The level should be above the upper level. Wait until the engine cold (the next day), check it again.
The level should go back to the upper level.
If you notice the level starts going below the upper level, there is a leak.
I check this once a week after getting home from work.

I changed my coolant on my car annually. Of course according to Lexus I failed to maintain it
I wouldn't go 100k on coolant myself but I'm a bit nuts about maintaining my cars. My M5 track car used to get Mobil 1 synthetic every 2500 miles, valves adjusted every 10k, brake fluid annually, etc. after every track event I changed all the driveline fluids and the brake fluid.

I have 113k on my 07 gs350 and my water pump just went out the dealership wants $930 to replace. I was like never mind will do it myself. I did not notice the water pump leaking but i heard a clicking sound coming from the engine which made me inspect. At first I thought it was the cam issue but noticed that that clicks and ticks came from the water pump leaking against the timing chain.

I just hit 100k miles, got the coolant flushed/filled at the dealer.
I have an extended warranty until 125k. I think I'm going to swap a new one in there at the 120k mile service. If it goes before then... its covered.

Have 92200 miles on my CPO 06 GS300. Took her in for regular 5000 mile maintenance, got a call WP leaking. I was like, OK no problem, I've got the extended warranty. Have them looking at a few other issues also.
