What's the risk of not replacing Plugs?.......
I've got 75K on my 07 GS350. --- I have not replaced the plugs yet, but noticed that the manual calls for a 60K replace. The Car runs pretty much the same as when it was new. I was surprised at the $400 price tag for replacing plugs. I plan to get rid of the car in another 15K miles.
What would be an indication that the plugs were indeed starting to fail?

If you're only keeping your car another 15k, dont worry about. You wont notice. I did mine at 80k, i noticed a small difference. I plan to keep my car to 250k. 400 seems right at lexus dealer, 3 hours labor plus plugs. Like everything else, i did the plugs myself as it is not hard.

Don't expect your buyer or whomever you trade it in with, to pay you top dollar when a simple basic plug change that can be done by anyone proficient, hasn't been completed.
It'll only make them wonder what else you've put off doing or scrimped on.
Showing the car has been looked after on schedule, and all servicing done, etc will go a long way to making the car easier to sell, and at a price (as long as you're realistic) nearer to your asking.
Just because it's a Lexus, doesn't mean you can be complacent or cavalier about servicing/maintenance.

Took just over an hour and the cost of the plugs (80 bucks or so) The left bank (driver side) is the tricky one due to the intake covering one of the bolts (think thats #2) to the coil and then the one closest to the firewall (if correct on #2 would be #6) being covered by the wiring harness. Thought it was a bit crazy for them to charge for 3hrs but w/e.
btw, don't quote me on the cylinder numbers, I always forget if the driver's side is even or odd.
Or as mentioned earlier if you're not getting poor gas mileage and plan on trading it in soon, don't bother.
