Only one sure way to tell my man. That deal on the red tops ends todAyers at advanced auto parts. Check out their site asap. They install for you too and pay you to take your old one. Err.

I decide to go with stinger optima are nice but stinger and kinetck have more reserve and cca then most aftermarket batteries factory replacement runs around 250-400 I would also have you factory ground and power changed out to 1/0 for transfer of power to the battery

If it's confirmed the battery has seen its best days, then any new battery will fix your problem - but if driving only short distances, you'll soon wind up in the same position, unless you hook it up overnight regularly.
Certainly the Optima batteries are designed to handle deep discharge cycles, but not necessarily as a regular occurrence.
And the cold weather will drain your battery more at start up - so a well charged battery is mandatory.

I just replaced the original stock Panasonic battery today. The car was starting to do some strange things: Turning off radio and ejecting cd's, beeping more times than normal when locking/unlocking the doors and aftermarket amps turning off from time to time, especially when turning (electric power steering).
I had the battery checked today and it had a bad cell so I replaced it with a Duralast Gold. I have used them in the past with excellent results and they can't be beat for the $$$. I was seriously considering a DieHard Platinum, but for $219 I just couldn't justify the difference in price based on my past experiences with Duralast Golds.
