Default Perks of new Pilot Super Sports (unusual accident...)

Was driving up to half moon bay and had to make an emergency stop for traffic ahead. The motorcyclist behind wasn't paying attention and moments later he was on the roof!

Pretty traumatic and I'm not quite sure what they are going to have to do on the roof - I'm hoping PDR. He is mostly okay though he did leave in an ambulance and was complaining of his crotch - I think it hit the shark fin!

His bike:

I hadn't even thought about the perks I could get out of this... I think it would look great with a black roof - ill be sure to try and work that in with the body shop.

Man, It only takes a few seconds of distraction for something like this to transpire.

Wow! I hope the guy is OK. Was he tailgating you?

I too felt pretty bad for him - being basically unprotected in any accident is never a good thing. But he was tailgating and more or less driving irresponsibly. He should've provided more space if he wanted to look at the forestry and know he was at a stopping disadvantage of having two tires instead of four.

The real fluke here was the sharkfin which I think may have caused the most worrisome of injuries. I'd imagine I will never know how he is doing?

I would just get it all fixed up and just make sure all the paint matches correctly. the pearl white is hard to match and easy to spot if any paintwork has been done

Luckily the back bumper cover has been replaced 2 times already after being rear ended twice in short order. I've found a body shop that is very good at matching the color and they are pretty good about doing it over if I'm not satisfied.

I don't want the roof to be painted black but I may look into a black vinyl while i'm at it.

Maybe carbon fiber wrap?!?! Can you PM me for the body shop? I have the same color as yours. My rear bumper color doesn't match the body when look from certain angle. I think the previous owner didn't find a good body shop to do this right. I need to have it repainted in the near future. Thanks!

car is repaired and running smoothly. finally bill came in at $19K+. talked to my lexus salesman a couple weeks ago - it's now worth $8-$10K less because of the accident - wholesale value now lol. if it's any consolation for you, your damages should be a lot less than mine.
