yes, if there is shark fin, that means the antenna is here, the head unit is also xm ready. but there is no tuner and harnesses in trunk. supposedly you need to get that unit to hook up xm

My 2006 has satellite radio without a shark fin. You don't need one unless you want it for cosmetic purposes. I personally think shark fins are ugly. I prefer the clean look. My 2010 has one, and I like the way my 2006 roofline looks better.

EDIT: My bad, thought you were talking about adding the shark fin, not the sat radio.

Yes, both navigation and satellite radio. No special shark fin required. Sound quality is exactly the same as in my 2010 with the shark fin.

Yeah, most people do. I hate the extra add on looking thing on top of a nice roofline. I am in the minority though... some guys go through the effort of adding a purely cosmetic shark fin, which makes me lose sleep at night.

For my XM install, My antenna puck is mounted on the rear parcel deck. No problems with reception except for bridges and tunnels.

No shark fin.
