Default Does Seafoam really work?

Has anyone actually had sucess running Seafoam through their car? My 06 gs awd gets a consistent 26 MPG to and from work which is mostly a freeway drive. Seems like I should be getting better. I guess I cant complain too much being my gs gets better MPG than my 98 4cyl accord . Just wondering if seafoam actually works or if anyone else has any ideas to get a little better MPG. Thanks

all depends on how you drive the car. 2 different drivers in the same car are going to get 2 different MPGs

I've used Seafoam on all of my vehicles for the past 5 years, everything from gas sipper Civics and Accords to CLK and E Class Mercedes to the GS430 I have now, I cant honestly say that I've seen an instant increase in MPG but I can say with the occasional bottle ran through the gas tank that my MPGs haven't dropped. So sometimes I think its a battle between both. Yes we want to increase MPG, but every mile , everyday, every year you drive your car the engine's not getting any younger so the way I see it if I can buy the occasional $8 bottle of Seafoam (as well as other regular maintenance) and maintain my current MPG then thats half the battle.

I've used it and it is ok, go to pep boys and get some Redline gas treatment if you really want to see a difference.

From what I see it'll do just as well without Seafoam.

Placebo effect.

May be the case, to each his own I guess. In my book though with as big as investment someone is making with buying a luxury vehicle such as a 3GS if I can buy a product off the shelf and it cleans even the smallest amout of carbon build up etc then its worth it to me. Being realistic the only way your gonna see any drastic change in MPGs is if your car is already not running at tip top, hence why you'll have some that say Seafoam gave them an extra 2-3 mpg and others who say they saw no difference.

^ that's why I said placebo effect. they think it did something when really it didn't do anything. 2-3 mpg is not significant for a real world driving. That's why ALL products on the shelf will claim an improvement of 2-5mpg it's a safe and unmeasurable number.

As you said "to each his own". I prefer to save that $ for what the car really need...........GAS.

Your G-Spider wheels, have you seen any bubbles on the wheel? Mine is starting to have it.
