Waiting for iphone 5?
I just bought an 07 GS350 and I'm officially hooked. I've been reading through all the FAQ's and I'm putting some 20' Vossen VVS 085's on this Tuesday which I'm excited about.
Like many of you I've been dissapointed with the tape adapter to iphone 4 plus the additional problem of not being able to sync contacts. I purchased the Monster Cable tape player on Amazon for $13 bucks and it sounds much better than the competitors I've tried at lower volumes, I cannot hear any static but the tape begins to show itself at high volumes with crackling which I was hoping would go away. After reading all your great posts on Vaistech and what is now Audiovox version of bluetooth/streaming audio into the Lexus I'm not sure what to do.
Here is what I want to my 2007 GS350 to be able to do:
Open the car door and crank 'er up, phone syncs to bluetooth, all of my contacts are loaded into the phonebook, open pandora up on my iphone 4 (will be the 5 shortly) and not have to connect into anything but my phone charger and be able to take advantage of the Mark Levinson sound quality. Obviously streaming the regular ipod music would be great too. I honestly think I could live without the phone book syncing since I use the 1 touch dial 90% of the time so far and if I simpy had an AUX input I would be happy.
I don't want to spend a fortune, the car was a one owner in mint condition I purchased with 68k and I only expect to thave the car maybe 2 years or more before I save up some money, sell this one and pay cash for an 09-10 model with about the same miles. I was fortunate enought to pay cash for this one and I do not want to hurt the resell value in any way.
Should I wait for the iphone 5 to come out shortly and then pick a product compatible that will do what I want? I have been strongly advised to keep my Lexus as factory as possible when it comes to this. Should I have an aux port installed and live with that?
My future possible mods I think so far are the HID's, Fogs and maybe an intake.

I'm in te same boat. I was going tiger the Vaistech ML+ (iPod integration and also aux). But since the iPhobe 5 is coming out with possibly new connectors I'm waiting to see if there are any changes made before I purchase te unit. I would also like to have BT music streaming if possible...
