Default Painted my stock GS300 calipers today & added decals....( pics)

Just wanted to clean up the look behind the wheels a little. Bought the decal kit from bombgrafx. I got three different sizes so I can mix and match to what fits best on the smaller GS300 caliper. Simple mod. BIG difference.

Gloss black first.

I tried this Decal first NAAAHHH !!!!!

Then a small logo with the lexus decal ................ Better

Finally a bigger logo with the same lexus decal....... Done.

Clear coat and assemble....

Wheels on, Done.

Cheap mod. Clean detail... Thanks for looking.

Did you scuff them up first? What paint kit did you use? What did you clear them with after you added decals?

1. Duplicolor caliper paint , gloss black
2. Decal kit from bombgrafx
http://www.bombgrafx.com/ready

3. Heat resistant clear coat

Yes I scuffed them . brake cleaner, and blew clean and dried with air compressor before painting . I used this for the clear.

Its a great cheap mod to do, when i did mine i sanded them down with 600 grit and painted using g2 caliper paint kit. To the op i dont like the decals you used, but good job overall.

Not digging it with the "L" logo. The small Lexus would have been cleaner IMHO.

Respect the work that went into it tho!

I'm not into logos etc. put on calipers unless it is OE (like Brembo stamped on), looks cheesey to me but hey it's just an opinion.

I like the work you did. Looks great. And the logo's too, as they are Lexus OEM brakes! Very nice work.

Not bad, I would have sanded it down a bit to make the surface a little bit cleaner and smoother.

Thanks again for the props. I'm gonna paint the back ones and leave it at that. Damn, they're thin.
